Hello darlings, I hope you are having a lovely week so far. So today I decided to give you a short update on my #MakeYourMythTaker readathonβs progress.
As you may know, from my previous blog post I ambitiously chose two paths: the Jester path from the Royal Court category and the Fae path from the Sorceress category. If you found yourself utterly confused by this, you can click on my previous blog post or/ and on Ashleighβs announcement video here or down below to learn more about this readathon.
Well, my progress or the lack of it so far will now commence…
In the first two weeks of the month, my reading progress was quite slow. I finished the first book/ prompt for the fae path namely, A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (which I will post a review later on). For the Jester path, I started the Howlβs Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and is now just over halfway. Thus, if I want to complete both paths I still need to complete 7.5 books.
But never fear, as Ashleigh and Charlotte announced that the rules had changed and one can read and re-organise ones TBR as one desire, and thus I also adapted my TBR. I decided to read or reread the Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman in the place of The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Therefore, finishing my second prompt (a book with a foiled cover) for my fae path. I am still deciding whether I should swap Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone by J.K. Bowling for The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller for my second prompt in the Jester path.
So, yes darlings that are my reading progress in a nutshell. I will later post all my thoughts on the books I have read and completed. At this point, it looks like I may become a Faerie with some Jester training rather than the other way around, but it is only for fun so I do not care if my characterβs journey may alter.
Dear reader do you also set too ambitious TBRs? What are you reading at this moment?
I hope you have a wonderful week filled with peace and happiness.
Love,
B
