#MakeYourMythTaker Readathon Wrap-up

Hello darlings, I hope you are enjoying your week. So, today I wanted to share my end results concerning the #MakeYourMythTaker readathon. As always I will leave the links to both the readathon and the hosts (Ashleigh and Charlotte) social media accounts and books I mentioned inside the post and below.

During my third week, I completed Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones for my first prompt: β€˜reading a fun middle-grade book’, for my Jester path. It was also the book club pick for A Touch of Whimsy bookclub (@whimsybookclub) hosted by Kalyn and Alexandra Roselyn. I may share my thoughts surrounding this book in a later post, but for now, all I can say is that I found the book fun to read and adored the world Diana Wynne Jones created. Also, check out the link to the book club discussion for this book.

Secondly, I read and finished Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer which helped me to complete the third prompt β€œread a book set in the woods”, on the Faerie Path.

Later that week, I posted a poll on twitter on whether I should stay with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling or change my TBR again and read The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller for the second prompt on the fae path. During this poll an overwhelming 70% of individuals voted for The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. If you were one of them thank you for voting. Sadly, I did not get to this book, but it is on the top of my reading list.

During the fourth week of this readathon, I started to read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak for the third prompt, β€˜read a book which features a book’ on the Jester path. I did not finish this book for this readathon, but I plan to finish it this month.

I also started to re-listen Caraval by Stephanie Garber as an audiobook and I am past the halfway mark.

Lastly, I finished Sparrowhawk by Delilah S. Dawson, Rebecca Nalty Matias Basla for my last prompt β€˜read something out of your comfort zone’ on my fae path. This was out of my comfort zone definitely out of my comfort zone as I do not read a lot of graphic novels- yet!

So, yes dearies that is what I read for this readathon. In summary, I completed all four the prompts for the fae path and thus became a fairy.

I did not complete the Jester Path.

But overall I am proud of what I achieved and enjoyed reading and rereading several books this month. Thank for everyone, who followed me on my journey of becoming a Jester Fae/ Fairy with Jester skills. πŸ˜‰

So, dear reader what have you read recently? Did you participate in this readathon?

Hope you have a lovely week.

Love,

B
